– aims to renovate 50 homes to mark jubilee celebrations
Given his commitment to serving humanity and promoting the Golden Rule both nationally and internationally, Dr. Astell Collins was officially appointed a Global Representative for the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative with responsibility over the Caribbean states and territories.
At his appointment, World Peace Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers described “Dr. Collins as a man of integrity that lives a lifestyle that exemplifies the Golden Rule, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’
Ambassador Rivers is also the Founder and President of iChange Nations™ a professional institution that equips, mentors and trains highly esteemed individual who have a desire to change the world.
“He believes every life is valuable and created for a purpose and contribution to our world. It is a great honour to have him as a Representative of our World Peace Initiative because he will represent our movement well across the globe,” the Ambassador stated.
As the North American Representative for the Golden Rule International and Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Ambassador Rivers is working around the world to move the message of the Golden Rule and a Culture of Honour.
The Golden Rule International Award is now established in 120 nations of the world. This organization seeks out top achievers who live the Golden Rule in their everyday life.
This is a new global ethic that the leadership of the Golden Rule International Award, Patron, Former President of Ethiopia, Girma Wolde and Ambassador Mussie Hailu have embraced and are promoting globally.
Ambassador Rivers is also the Representative for the Golden Rule International and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, North American Division to the United Nations – New York. Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative is affiliated with the Department of Public Record (DPI) – United Nations as well as affiliated with the United Religious Initiative (URI), an Interfaith Peace organization.
The organization is also seeking to bring global awareness by strategically helping nations to educate, train and support the Nation Building Process designed to improve the dignity and betterment of human life.
This international platform focuses on establishing effective relationships to help people understand the value of life and basic human rights.
Dr. Collins has since met with President David Granger, and commits to continuing to do all he can in helping him to accomplish his vision of social cohesion and national unity. The BD1 Leadership founder has expressed willingness to work with the President Granger to make Guyana a model for the Caribbean and the rest of the world in this regard.
Within three years of his return from South Africa, Dr. Collins has facilitated over 400 leadership seminars. He has served nationally with excellence almost every sphere of society including various government ministries, private companies, the military, police, medical practitioners, teachers, students, prisoners and prison officers.
Dr Collins is firm believer and is dedicated to forging Guyana into a country of national unity.
He believes that the nation would not manifest its collective greatness without first becoming one people in one nation with a shared destiny.
In addition to serving the nation, to mark Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary and Jubilee celebrations, Dr. Collins, who was recently appointed Chairman of the board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, has embarked on an initiative which seeks to provide repairs and minor improvements to the homes of 50 indigent citizens which includes the elderly, single parents and the differently abled.
