to help his team come back after falling short on their first innings against Weldaad, to win the game outright in the 2016 Memorex Under-17, Two-innings Cricket Competition in Berbice.
He firstly took 6 for 23 to see Weldaad bowled out for just 57 in their first innings but when his team replied his 30 N.O. could not save them for going down by 1 run to Weldaad. However, in Weldaad’s second innings, his spell of 4.3 Overs, one maiden, four runs for 5 wickets, together with 3 for 9 from Adrian Samaroo devastated their opponents for a paltry 22.
Achievers went on to attain victory by 6 wickets.
Yuvraj Singh slammed 52 to help Toopoo Rising Star take first innings lead over Rose Hall Town Bakewell B, whose left arm spinner Simon Naidu then took 7 for 36, the best bowling figures in the competition so far, to bowl out Toopoo for 68 in their 2nd innings, giving him a match haul of 10 for 65. Needing 106 for victory, Rose Hall Town Bakewell B could only reach 51 for 2 by the close.
