Dear Editor,
The new Guyana Government is becoming consistent with making the most unexplainable stumbles. It is difficult to add to Mr Freddie Kissoon’s opinion on the matter of B. K. Tiwarie’s appointment and subsequent revocation. I would just like to say that observing from a distance, that power has indeed gone to the heads of our new leadership and that their supporters would just have to accept whatever they dish out. After Burnham and his later dictatorship years and Jagdeo with his crassness, Guyana needs a government that shows its citizens some respect for its intelligence and their ability to figure out early which decisions are about patronage and which are for the benefit of our unique and beautiful country. The time for this new administration to get its act together is running out. Patience is wearing thin.
