Man in court twice in 4 months for rape

A 24-year-old man appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse on Tuesday at the Linden Magistrate’s Court charged with raping a minor.
Michael Franklin, of 223 Block 22, is accused of rape of a minor on November 10, last, at Phase 1 B Wisroc. Upon advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Franklin was charged under Section 10(3) of the Sexual offences Act Chapter 8:03 rape of a child under sixteen years.
Franklin who is before the court on another rape charge for which he was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 on December 30, last, pleaded not guilty and was placed on $150,000 bail.
In the prior case the young man is charged with engaging in sexual penetration of a female without her consent on July 23, last. The incident allegedly occurred at One Mile, Wismar.
Franklin will return to court on April 12, next.
