While Traffic Chief, Superintendent Dion Moore continues to recuperate from injuries he sustained in a vehicular
accident a little less than a month ago, the Guyana Police Force has appointed Superintendent Boodnarine Persaud to perform the duties of Traffic Officer.
Persaud who previously served in the Berbice Division is no stranger to the Traffic Department, having served there for a number of years.
On March 4, Moore was a passenger in a motorcar heading north along the East Bank Demerara (EBD) Public Road in the vicinity of Guyoil Service Station at Providence when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
While the driver of the vehicle escaped without injuries, Moore sustained a fractured leg and rib.
