GSCL Inc to host Independence Cup

The Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc (GSCL Inc) will be hosting the 50th Independence Anniversary tournament from May 20-22. The competition will be played in the open and over-45 categories; the winning team in the open segment will pocket a trophy and $200,000 while the runner up will receive a trophy and $50,000.
The top team in the over-45 division will take home a trophy and $100,000 and the runner up a trophy and $50,000 while members of the finalists will be given medals. Everest, GNIC SC and Carifesta Sports Complex are the venues identified for the preliminary round games while the launching and draw will be done shortly at GNIC SC.
Teams can contact GSCL Inc. Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Russell Jagbeer on 226 4205 or Samuel Kingston on 619 5103 for more information. Star Party Rentals, Payless Variety Store, Elegant Jewellery and Pawn Shop, Top Brandz and Regal Sport and Regal Stationery and computer centre are the sponsors on board so far.
