Led by indefatigable striker Cordel Johnson, Kuru Kururu Warriors held strong when they
came from behind to defeated Silver Bullets (which played back to back matches) 6-5 when competition continued in the inaugural Corona Beer sponsored Guyana Beach Football Association, Beach Soccer League.
Johnson fired in a double as did Kevon Walker and Nigel Bennett in crafting a memorable win for the Linden Soesdyke Highway based team. On target for the losers, Silver Bullets were Kellon Adams with a brace, Geshawn Freeman and Robin Adams.
The opening match between Silver Bullets and Attention Family had to be abandoned with 7 minutes to game time as a result of a fight between two opposing players. The competition will continue on Sunday at the Kuru Kururu ground from 18:30hrs.
