Police Progressive Youth Club (PPYC) won Guyana Teachers’ Union North Georgetown
The victorious Police Progressive Youth Club pose for a photo opportunity after winning the first North Georgetown Branch Independence title.
Branch 50th Independence Track and Field Meet on Sunday at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary after amassing 313 points.
Held under flood lights, PPYC defeated Mercury Fast Laners that placed second with 264 points and Super Up-Coming Runners that finished third with 196 points. Buxton with 168 points was fourth while Bartica and Ruralites tied for fifth with 67 points; Team Uzzi was sixth with 63 points.
Courts Guyana Inc., Banks DIH Limited, Star Party Rentals, Glendon Fogenay and that National Sports Commission were among the sponsors of the event.
