Grove, Soesdyke, Mocha, Herstelling face off today
Defending champions Grove Hi Tech will be going for their second win in as many matches when the STAG / East Bank Football Association Senior League continues today at the Grove Playfield with another double header.
Grove, having defeated Herstelling Raiders 4-1 in the league’s first match will face a sterner test this afternoon from 13:30hrs when they oppose Soesdyke Falcons which also won their opening match coming from behind against Kuru Kururu Warriors, 3-2 on Sunday last.
The likes of Lloyd Matthews, Nickolai Matthews, Mervin Squires and Denzil Crawford will be at the helm of the Grove side in their quest to make in two out of two. Soesdyke will be no easy opponent as they have in their armory the dangerous Mervin Joseph who is also their Captain, Collis Massiah, Kelcy Benson, Tyrell Khan, Troy Johnson and John Stell.
In the main match, Herstelling Raiders will be aiming to rebound from their opening loss when they lock horns with Mocha Champs. Kick off time is 13:30hrs.
