The annual Tenelec Inc. one day, two innings under-15 inter club tournament for teams in Berbice is set to commence tomorrow across several grounds in Berbice. The competition sponsored by Bobby Deonarine and Tom Gruntzel out of Washington, USA has produced several players such as Narsingh Deonarine, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon, Brandon Bess and many more. Two recent stars out of this tournament are West Indies under-19 captain Shimron Hetmyer and his former youth team mate Gudakesh Motie.
The board is taking advantage of the prolonged dry weather and Easter holidays with twenty teams participating in five (5) geographical zones. Only cricketers born on or after 1st September, 2001 can participate in this competition.

Meanwhile, Zone E (Upper Corentyne) get started on Thursday 24th March, 2016.
