Two more matches will be contested today in the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) / Ralph Green sponsored Under-11 league at the Grove Playfield.
In the day’s feature game, defending champions Herstelling Raiders find themselves in a must win situation in their match against Agricola who are also in a similar spot. Herstelling suffered a shock 2-0 loss to debutants Friendship All Stars in the competitions first match, Shavi Atkinson netting both.
Agricola were down to face Friendship last Saturday but failed to show up which meant that Friendship are the first team to secure a place in the final four as the winner of Group B with an unblemished record of two wins in as many matches.
A win for either Herstelling or Agricola would see them also advancing to the final four which makes their clash a potential mouth watering affair.
The first match today between Diamond and Craig School is also a potential thriller as a win for either side will also see them going through. Diamond cannot afford to lose as they lost their opening match to Grove Hi Tech 1-2 last Saturday while this would be Craig’s first match of the competition.
Jael Ross who scored for Diamond will be aiming to be on the score sheets again this time in a winning cause. Kick off time is 10:00hrs.
The top three clubs will receive gold, silver and bronze medals while the fourth placed club will get participatory medals. There will also be five individual trophies that will go to the Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Valuable Player, Most Disciplined Player and Most Promising Player.
