In the simple presentation ceremony Director of Sport, Christopher Jones said that after receiving requests from various entities, the Grants Committee of the NSC met and deliberated on amounts that should be given out based on the programme presented.
“In keeping with the mandate of the NSC to fund sport associations, Grants Committee met and deliberated before deciding on the amounts,” Jones said, before informing those present that the Committee comprise of him, Lavern Thomas and Edison Jefford.
Those that benefitted yesterday were: The Guyana Amateur Boxing Association; Guyana Boxing Board of Control; Guyana Badminton Association; Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation; Help and Shelter; Guyana Amateur Swimming Association; Athletics Association of Guyana; Mayor’s Cup.
