Dear Editor,
The Merundoi local government debates which were organized in collaboration with NCN and other sponsors without a doubt proved to be enlightening especially for the electorate in the Georgetown Municipality. Ten constituencies fielded their First Past the Post candidates for public scrutiny. The public had an insight of their intellectual perspicacity, vision and proposals for dealing with the myriad of problems that the citizens of Georgetown face daily.
The candidates were given the opportunity to justify why they deserved to be nominated as representatives of their communities and if they qualify to be a councilor in the Georgetown Municipality.
I congratulate the organizers and thank them for a job well done. The moderator , Mr. Durwin Humphrey was exemplary in executing his mandate.
Dr. Bertrand R. Stuart
Independent Candidate of Constituency # 14.
