Guyana win two bronze medals in boys doubles
The Guyanese Top Doubles Pair of Sunburst Champion Narayan Ramdhani and Jonathan Mangra brought home Bronze Medals in the Under-19 Boys Doubles at The II Peru Under-19 Junior International World Ranking Tournament held in Lima Peru at the Regatas Club Badminton Courts March 8-11, 2016.
The Local boys preformed extremely well at this high level Tournament which could only have carried their experience & development even further.
In the Semi-Finals Boys Doubles Playoff Narayan Ramdhani & Jonathan Mangra lost in a three setter to Peru’s Rodrigo Camogliano Telge & Nicolas Macias with Guyana winning the first game: 21-18, and loosing the next two: 9-21, 16-21.
The GBA is happy to have started out the Year 2016 on a good note of medaling at the first international we participated in and look forward to continue along this path, a release from the association stated.
Gratitude was expressed to the GOA, NSC, Yellow Mining & Bounty Farm for making it possible for the players to bring home medals for Guyana.
A Junior 10-Member Team will now be prepare for the Suriname Easter Junior Under-15 & 19 International Championships to be held in Paramaribo from March 25-27.
