Triple-header to end league tonight
Following them securing of the championship with a game to spare, new champions Topp XX celebrated their new crown with a comfortable 2-0 win over Eagles United on Wednesday night to end the tournament well ahead on 20 points, while Amelia’s Ward Panthers and Botofago played to a 0-0 draw at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
Plying on the penultimate day of the 2015/16 First Division tournament Topp XX took the lead in the 70thminute through striker Shawn Daniels and then in the 90th closed out the hopes of Eagles United when Omalli Webb converted.
Three matches were contested last evening to end the 2015/16 tournament which began last year.
