The Golyn 10/10 countrywide softball cricket tournament organized by the Guyana Softball League and sponsored by Golyn and sons, Trophy Stall and Miss Love Trading (West Coast) continues this weekend with five matches:
The matches are as follows:
West Coast zone: at Leonora ground:
Maracs XI versus Unstoppable XI:
Maracs XI needs a strong showing to ensure that the fans can have faith in them again. They started the tournament brightly but have fallen away lately and will hope to win this one to bring back their confidence. Unstoppable XI gave a strong showing in their last match and are talented enough to ensure that stands in this round. Both teams are evenly matched and both will be going all out for a big win.
Rydem Star XI versus Superbet XI:
Both teams have been disappointing in their last showing and will look to come out of this with some points. The teams are on even keel at the moment with a WLLL ratio and a win here will take them out of the doldrums. This match will go down to the wire.
Power XI versus West Coast Blazers:
Power XI was a quarter finalist at the last tournament and have not shown their true potential at the moment having lost to teams that are not in their league, therefore they will need to pick themselves up and get into the winning mood. West Coast Blazers are coming on in the tournament having won their last two matches easily without some of their star players and the bench strength have shown that they have the ability to go far in the tournament and win big once they get it right.
In other action, Crossbreed Warriors battle Prem XI in a clash of the unbeaten teams. This match will see a lot of emotions and the last ball will see the winner.
Amazon Warriors XI then take on Superstreet XI.
Meanwhile, the One Ball Manto will continue this weekend as spectators gear up for a winner being announced at the conclusion of the day’s proceedings. This format has brought out a lot of happiness to spectators as the prizes to be won are worth the chance in credit, sports watch, and trophies.
