Two more matches will be contested today when play in the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) / Ralph Green sponsored Under-11 league continues.
From 10:00hrs, Friendship, which recorded the first win of the competition last week, an upset 2-0 triumph over defending champions Herstelling Raiders will take on Agricola Red Triangle and will be aiming for their second victory in as many matches.
This league which focuses on development and setting a solid technical foundation for the players will see home team Grove Hi Tech opposing Diamond United in the feature match at 10:45hrs.
Based on advice from the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Technical Development Officer, Lyndon France, the EBFA and sponsor Ralph Green will be working towards presenting certificates of participation to each player in the competition since winning should not be the primary objective at this level.
The top three clubs will receive gold, silver and bronze medals while the fourth placed club will get participatory medals. There will also be five individual trophies that will go to the Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Valuable Player, Most Disciplined Player and Most Promising Player.
