Strathaven/Cane Grove overcame Calcutta by 96 runs when the East Coast Cricket Committee/SPR Enterprise 40-over tournament continued on Sunday.
Playing at Strathaven, the home team posted 212 all out in 35 overs. Sewchand Budhu led with 75 (7×4,1×6), Zaki Salim made 45 (4×4,3×6) and Gobin Hemraj 23. Extras contributed 30 as Tenasnon Moore claimed 3-37 and Arthur Duke 2-24.
Calcutta were bowled out for 116 in 13.1 overs in reply. Duke hit 61 (4×4,1×6) as Naresh Samaroo grabbed 5-29. Hemraj and Jermaine Tyndall had two each.
