The Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Phagwah Day Horse Race Meet received

The Meet is slated to be staged on March 13, at the Club’s Bush Lot Farm on the Corentyne in Berbice and according to a release six races are carded for the day with the D1 & Lower with over $700,000 in prize money, being the feature race of the day.
Acting on behalf of the donor was Marketing / Sales and Distribution Manager Narendra Lucknauth, who presented the cheque for an undisclosed sum to former Chancellor of the Judiciary Justice Cecil Kennard.
The list of races and prizes for the day is as follows:
(1)- L & Lower over 5 furlongs – $100,000
(2)- H1 & Lower over 6 furlongs – $240,000
(3)- K & Lower over 5 furlongs – $120,000
(4)- G1 & Lower over one mile – $280,000
(5)- D1 & Lower over one mile – $700,000
(6)- J1 & Lower over 6 furlongs – $160,000
Meanwhile, entries closed on March 6.
