A 23- year- old man of Lot 63 Middle Street, McDoom, East Bank Demerara was yesterday granted bail on a charge of Break and Enter and Larceny, when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
It is alleged that on February 16, last, Andrew Scott broke and entered the storeroom of Steadman Lambert and stole two sports bicycles and sixty pounds of salted fish all totalling $92,000.
Scott pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him and was placed on $20,000 bail. Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones had no objections to Scott being granted pre-trial liberty.
The defendant will make his next court appearance on March 22.
