Over three million in cash and trophies are up for grabs this Sunday when the Budhan Memorial Turf Club’s grand one-day Horserace Meet comes off at the Club’s racing track, Number 66 Village Corentyne Berbice.
Seven exciting races are carded for the day with action set to gallop off at 13:00hrs. The day’s activities will be headlined by the JI and lower race which will feature some of the Country’s top horses vying for the $250,000 prize according to Race Officials Compton Sancho and Roopnarine Matadial.
The likes of Red Regent, Liquid Lion, Plain Land, Little Blue Lighting, Massapiq UA Doctor, Qunicy Up Front and others will be in the reckoning. Other races slated for the day are Three year-old Guyana Bred horses, J3 and Lower, K and Lower, L and Lower and unclassified as well as non winners.
Matadial said the track is in excellent condition and all systems are in place for a grand day of competition. All rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority will be enforced.
