Dear Editor,
Re: “Serious accusation against the animal clinic, GSPCA,” KN March 1. I would like to respond to the above letter to the editor.  While I appreciate the words of encouragement from this letter writer (Anand Kissoon is neither a friend or an acquaintance of mine) regarding efforts to aid animals in need of medical help in my community. I cannot condone nor do I agree with the criticisms in this letter leveled at the GSPCA and the veterinarians who work with the GSPCA.
In the letter there is a reference to a posting on my Face Book page. This post was an unfortunate error in my judgment, it was not intended to bring any criticism or discredit the GSPCA or any vets. Obviously, it was interpreted that way by this letter writer and I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to the GSPCA and the vets for any perceived slight this may have brought upon their reputation and their dedication.
In fact, over the past few months the GSPCA has been very helpful. I am fortunate to be part of the GSPCA spay and neuter campaign where I’m able to help low income families in and around my neighborhood  with their animals.  In the end we are all working towards the same goal for the benefit of the animals. And yes, there is a need for pet carriers to assist owners in transporting their animals.Again I would like to apologize for the misunderstanding this has caused.
