Allan Wilson is still the presiding hinterland magistrate

Kaieteur News wishes to correct an article published in its most recent Sunday edition which suggested that Magistrate Allan Wilson has been reassigned to Court 12 of the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Magistrate Wilson is still the substantive Magistrate of the Matthews Ridge Magistrates’ Court. He is also the magistrate responsible for the court in the Rupununi, to which he travelled yesterday.
He will be in the Rupununi for three weeks. On his return to the city he will hear cases in the city until he is scheduled to return to the hinterland courts.
