The Golyn 10/10 cricket organized by the Guyana Softball League and sponsored by Golyn and Sons and Trophy Stall continued last Sunday with several teams recording victories and gaining confidence as they marched towards making a claim towards a spot in the quarter finals even though it’s early days yet.
The results are as follows:
Mighty Lions defeated Superbet XI by 6 wickets:
Superbet XI batted first and scored 80-5 in 10 overs with Jitendra Kishore scoring 17(1×6;1×4) . In reply Mighty Lions scored 81-4 in 7 overs with Dhaniram Samaroo top scoring with a well-constructed 50 (6×6).
Omesh XI defeated Unstoppable XI by 34 runs:
Omesh XI made 108-5 in 10 overs with Travis Drakes scoring 27 (3×6; 1×4). In reply Unstoppable were limited to 74 all out in 9.1 overs With Rooplall Deonarine scoring 15 (1×6; 1×4). Vickram Kissoon took 3-5 from 2 overs.
Maracs XI defeated Exclusive XI by 6 wkts:
Exclusive XI made 80 all out in 10 overs and Maracs replied with 81-4 in 7 overs.
Prem XI defeated Ridem Star XI by 2 runs:
Prem XI batted first and scored 64 all out in 9.1 overs with Rajendra Kumar 13. Ridem Star XI were on their way but a tight penultimate over left them under pressure having to make 10.
The last over was also a good one with them only getting 8 runs thus leaving them to rue what would have been a first victory in their first match but they will now have to try again in their second outing.
Superstreet XI defeated Power XI by 31 runs:
Superstreet XI batted first and scored 113-8 in 10 overs with Seepersaud Persaud scoring 18 (2×6). Hanoman Sukhanan took 3-17 from 2 overs. In reply Power XI were bundled out for 82 in 9 overs with Ravi Laldeo scoring 16 (2×6) in 9.5 overs. Shameer Khan took 4-7 from 2 overs to destroy them.
