Sans Souci Jaguars defeated G Square Cavaliers of Belle Plaine by four runs to win the final of the Banks
DIH/Virgin Promotions T10 tournament on Sunday in Wakenaam. Sans Souci Jaguars posted 115-3, batting first in front of a large crowd at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success. Nokta Moses struck 63 while Siddiq Mohamed made 37.
G Square Cavaliers responded with 111-5. Kamal Khan got 37 and Jaggernauth Manbodh 27; Beesham Moses claimed 2-15. Jaguars beat Sans Souci by five runs in their semi final encounter. Nokta Moses slammed 50; Wayne Osbourne had 1-15. Sans Souci replied with 97-1. Osbourne cracekd 45 and Roopnarine Persaud 38; Beesham Moses had 1-20.
G Square Cavaliers got the better of Maria’s Pleasure by seven wickets in their match up. Maria’s Pleasure managed 83-4, taking first strike. Marsh Singh got 22; Lokram Narine took 2-15. Cavaliers scored 84-3 in nine overs in response. Kamal Khan made 37 and D. Scott 23. Leorayan Ramlakhan had 1-12. In the opening fixtures, Good Success lost to Jaguars while Cavaliers beat Zeelandia. Jaguars collected a trophy and $100,000 and Cavaliers a trophy and $30,000. Nokta Moses was named the most valuable player and man-of-the-match in the final.
