The Non-Resident Ambassador of the State of Israel, Mordehai Amihai-Bivas, has pledged
his country’s support for Guyana in a number of security matters.
This happened during a courtesy call on Vice-President and Minister of Public Security Khemraj Ramjattan, at his Ministry yesterday.
During the call, national security matters were discussed with major focus on border control.
The Ambassador assured Minister Ramjattan that whatever tangible and technical assistance sought by Guyana will be offered, especially as regards assistance towards curbing the illicit entry into Guyana of arms, drugs and trafficked persons.
The assistance should also go a far way in helping Guyana minimise the threat of terrorism, a major concern for Israel.
