UDFA Division One League resumes…Milerock, Federal Winners score 3-0 wins over Eagles United and Topp XX

GT Beer champions Federal Winners Connection and Petra Organisation champions Milerock recorded 3-0 wins, but did so in different styles even with the same result, when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Division One League championship resumed play after over a month at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
Playing in the first game, Milerock took the advantage early against Eagles United and in the 37th minute Nellon Walcott scored, but they were unable to complete the dominance they promised until the extra minutes of play were added on to the regulation time. The second goal was scored in the 92nd minute by Denzil Pryce and one minute later Andre Mendonca netted to seal the 3-0 win against the hapless Eagles United.
The second game did not go the same way but the Winners Connection did get the first goal against Topp XX when in the 30th minute forward Rawle ‘Boney’ Gittens found the back of the net, and soon after they registered goal number two in the 35th minute through midfield man Keon Sears and led at half time 2-0.
The Winners Connection would complete the easy victory when striker Marmalaque Davidson got into the act and netted in the 61st minute as the GT Beer champions got the win.
The competition continues today with another double header at the MSC ground.
