President of the Guyana Amateur Body Building and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) Keavon Bess has paid tribute
to late and former President and Guyana’s first IFBB accredited Judge, George Albert Somercille Marshall.
Bess in an invited comment said that Marshall can be described as a stalwart of the sport that he has served first as an athlete then administrator.
“The late George Marshall epitomizes the passion for the sport and always showed eminence and dedication. As one of two CAC bodybuilding judges in Guyana, George was an asset and will be missed.”
Bess informed that the federation still has a few judges around and will shortly be training more to ensure that quality judging as was the hallmark of Marshall, remains intact at competitions.
The GABBFF head further said that the high degree of professionalism that Marshall displayed at all times should be emulated by all as it can only assist in making the sport even better.
