Intended to help with efforts at suicide prevention, the Nirvana Humanitarian Society (NHS) has organised a National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Programme.
The venture slated for tomorrow, (February 13, 2016) will kick off with a road march starting at the Leonora Park Race Track at 9am and will culminate at Kastev East, Meten Meer Zorg Nirvana Centre. At the latter venue, a series of programmes will be launched to help create suicide prevention awareness and foster healthy living in the society. This is expected to kick off at 11am.
At that forum, a number of speeches will be done by health care professionals, community representatives, religious leaders and the Health Minister.
NHS is partnering with all stakeholders on this awareness programme including the Ministry of Public Health, Caribbean Voice, as well as the Christian, Muslim and Hindu Communities.
