The final of the inaugural 2015 A. Ally & Sons Inter-Secondary School Under-17 Two-innings Cricket
Competition is now fixed for tomorrow, Thursday February 11, 2016 at the Cumberland Ground in Canje after being postponed from last Thursday due to heavy rainfall. A keen tussle is expected between Rosignol Secondary School and Berbice High School.
Spearheading Rosignol will be former Berbice Under-15 allrounder Javed Karim as well as Chandradat Veersammy and Keyon Gangoo, while Berbice High will have on their side former Berbice Under-15 batsman Alex Algoo, Berbice Under-17 legspinner Dion Sinclair and Malcolm Mickle.
The match is a two-innings affair with the first innings limited to 50-Overs for each side to ensure that the match will at least have a first innings decision.
The Regional Education Officer of Region 6 and representative of the sponsor A. Ally & Sons of New Amsterdam will be introduced to both school teams before the start of the match and will also be there for the presentation ceremony.
