The township of Bartica and its environs such as Four Miles Housing Scheme, Itaballi, Goshen,
Karrau Creek, Agatash and Kartabu, last week benefited from a Vision Care Clinic. Hosting the clinic was the Lions Club of Bartica in collaboration with Canadian Vision Care and Lions Club of Kempitville, Canada.
During the six days of clinic, free eye-testing and screening for other eye diseases such as Glaucoma and Cataract was also done on members of the public by the visiting Canadian team. Free spectacles were provided for those in need.
Some 1200 people which included children from Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools, members of the disciplined forces, the elderly, church members and the public benefited.
