Dear Editor,
I was skirting the newspapers for an article when I bumped into a headline in the Guyana Times of February 05 – Sukhai to Govt: Prove you are better! – says provisions not enough for Amerindians.
Well, look who’s talking – the provisions for Amerindians cannot be enough because when Ms. Sukhai had stewardship over the provisions for Amerindians she took 2.1 million dollars to do her teeth. At that time there were thousands of Amerindians who needed dental work done especially for the school children.
Poor Amerindians, they have now become very important to the PPP who only visited them around elections time to pay them what appeared like ‘plenty money’ to get their votes and leave them in abject poverty afterwards. Golden rule of the PPP – give them a fish every five years and don’t even try to teach them to fish.
