United States Ambassador to Guyana, Perry Holloway, yesterday morning met with Minister
of Social Cohesion, Amna Ally, to explore areas for partnership, at the Ministry of the Presidency.
This is the first official meeting between the two administrators.
Ambassador Holloway said that he wanted the opportunity to meet the Minister formally and to extend his support to her Ministry and projects.
“The issue of social cohesion and inclusion is important to us just as it is important to this Government and to the people of Guyana, but the meeting was more to find out what her priorities are and in what ways the US Government and the Ministry can cooperate going forward,” he said.
Minister Ally said that she is looking forward to working with the Embassy and the Ambassador.
