-Britton wins 21-and-under title
Christopher Franklin and Chelsea Edghill became the new senior Table Tennis

(TT) Champions Sunday night at the National Gymnasium. The two replaced former champs from four years ago, Nigel Bryan and Trenace Lowe respectively.
Franklin returned from a five-year hiatus from table tennis to advance to the Men’s round-robin final, which included Bryan, Edinho Lewis and Orin Hickerson. He played undefeated in the group to win the Men’s Singles title.
Franklin dominated the group, beating Bryan, Lewis and Hickerson 3-0. Bryan finished second in the championship while Lewis was third and Hickerson fourth.
Meanwhile, Edghill, who is on scholarship in the United States, also dominated her opposition in the Women’s Singles category. She beat Natalie Cummings 3-0 in the women’s final and also won the 21 and under category after playing undefeated.
Shemar Britton won the male 21 and category, defeating Kyle Edghill 4-1 in an exciting match that went 11-6, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9 and 11-9. Nicholas Romain won both the ‘B’ and ‘C’ Class categories, topping Kevon Corbin in the ‘B’ Class final 4-1 while defeating Tyriq Saunders 3-0 in the ‘C’ Class final.
