Cummings Lodge residents are fearful for their lives and the lives of their children as a resident of the area has gone berserk, assaulting and threatening to kill persons.
John Phillips, a security guard attached to Medicare Pharmacy, began behaving disorderly some time Tuesday morning.
He even ran over to the home of his neighbor where he choked a woman and lashed the on duty guard with a chain.
Jacqueline Smith, of 10th Street, Cummings Lodge, said that the people are fearful for their lives. On Wednesday, he commanded his pit bulls to kill three of his sheep and several fowls in his yard.
On Tuesday, when he first acted out, he began breaking up things in the house. He threw wares onto the streets and forced residents to retreat to their homes for safety.
The police were summoned, and the man’s father in law, Norman Brady, who is also a member of the Community Policing Group went along with the police to see what could be done.
However, Phillips reportedly attacked the police and went into a bushy area aback his home to hide.
When contacted, Commander of ‘C’ Division, Marlon Chapman said he was unaware of the matter since it was never relayed to him, and that he would have to enquire.
Brady said that he does not know what triggered his son in law’s behaviour since he is a good man, and would not want to see him get hurt.
When this publication visited the scene, as soon as Phillips saw the media he quickly hid. He was even seen and heard throwing wares in the house. The windows to the home were also broken.
