Corriverton Cricket Club defeated Crabwood Creek Young Royals in their final Zone N preliminary match of the 2015 New Building Society Second Division 40-Over Cricket Competition in Berbice to end up unbeaten in that zone and thus advancing to the last 16 play-offs of the competition.
In the match their off-spinner Eric Phillips took 5 for 26 from 7-Overs to bowl out the Royals for just 89 in 24.5 Overs. Then their opening batsman Jeremy Moore slammed 58 N.O (2 fours and 6 sixes) to guide them to 92 for 2 in just 9.4 Overs.
Also advancing were Courtland All Star who beat Fyrish to end up tied with Fyrish at the top of Zone H but having the better run rate of the two teams, they were given the nod. In that match, Fyrish were restricted to 141 in 36-Overs after which former Berbice cricketer Eon Gibson, opening the batting, hit 65 (9 fours and 3 sixes) which was largely responsible for them going on to win by 6 wickets.
Fiaz Narinedat slammed 79 (7 fours and 6 sixes) and Niazi Khan 62 (4 fours and 6 sixes) to steer No. 70 M.Y.O to 300 in 34.3 Overs. M.Y.O went on to win by 161 runs.
Also scoring a half century was Kwesi Mickle of West Canje, while Ryan Victor of West Canje was the other bowler with a 5-wicket haul.
