The Soesdyke Vishnu Mandir held its annual sports awards presentation last Saturday Night at the Mandir’s Ghaat which was witness by its members & invitees.
Heading the list of performers was former Guyana under-15 all rounder Bhojnarine Singh who won the Best Batsman prize after scoring 1,263 runs for the year. Naresh Ram was adjudged Best Bowler for the year with 72 wickets.
Ms Camille Deokie, Director of Studies at Camille’s Institute for Business & Science Studies was honored for sponsoring the Mandir Cricket Team throughout 2015. Laloo Ram was honoured for Managing and Coaching with great dedication towards the team.
The Soesdyke Vishnu Mandir will be celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and the Executive has planned a six-night Yagna to celebrate this occasion in June this year. Additionally the Mandir has four weekly services.
Thursday evening from 19:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs (Satsang) and Friday at the same time (Meditation), while Saturday 18:00hrs to -19:30hrs there will be Open Air Chanting to Hanuman Baba.
On Sunday Morning 08:00hrs to 09:30hrs the youth group will do prayers, puja, Havan, Aarti will conclude with a feeding programme. All are invited to come & witness these services.
