Early bird tickets cost $2,000
Barbadian left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn and Trinidad and Tobago’s leg-spinners Samuel Badree have both
confirmed their participation in the in the Legacy and 007 Promotions’ Unity Cricket t20 match under lights at the Providence Stadium on Saturday January 30.
The fun begins from 10:00hrs with a family fun day on the Tarmac of the Stadium while five Softball matches are set for the International venue from 11:00hrs.
The 10/10 ‘Open’ Final will be contested under lights before the feature event which will include most of the Caribbean’s top t20 Cricketers, will climax the one-day event and is expected to be watched by a capacity crowd of over 15,000 fans.
The 34-year-old Benn has played 26 Tests, 34 ODIs and 18 T20 Internationals, while 34-year-old Badree has participated in 22 T20s for the West Indies. The pair will join a galaxy of starts which include overseas players Ryad Emrit, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith, Darren Sammy, Krismar Santokie and Nicolas Pooran.
Former Guyana and West Indies Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan will lead one of the teams, while players like Veerasammy Permaul, Ronsford Beaton, Leon Johnson, Christopher Barnwell, Gudakesh Motie and Jonathon Foo, who will be eager to show why he should be in a Guyana limited overs team, are some of the local players on show. Two of the World’s top t20 players are expected to soon confirm their participation.
The organizers have also announced that ‘early bird’ tickets which are bought before match day will cost $2,000, while fans will have to pay more for tickets purchased at the gate on match night.
Tickets, which allows entry to the Stadium for all the events including the Fun day for Children, goes on sale from the middle of this month.
