The lifeless body of a sailor was pulled out of the Demerara River yesterday at the Guyana Fisheries wharf. The man whose only name was given has ‘Sunil’ along with other men reportedly went out sailing on Esperanza 110.
However, Sunil, who is said to be in his 40s, vanished. The trawler was docked yesterday at the wharf.
The captain for the boat and several of the dead man’s co-workers refused to speak with the media.
Kaieteur News understands that a Post Mortem examination will be performed on the man’s body to ascertain the cause of death.
