The Management and Members of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) is extending
heartfelt gratitude to its fourth Honorary Patron Ms. Beverly Harper whose term of office expired on December 31, last after five years.
Ms. Harper who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Ansa McAl Trading (Guy) Ltd., took office as the Patron of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organization in late 2010 replacing the third Honorary Patron Peter Ramsaroop who served for only three years.
The club has hailed Ms. Harper as a perfect role model to its membership and for her timely advice to the management over the years especially during some very difficult situations. In a press release, the club informed that under Ms. Harper’s tenure, they were able to successfully complete over 1500 programmes/activities with special emphasis on education, sports, anti-drugs, anti-suicide, youth development, community development and making a positive difference in the lives of youths, the elderly and less fortunate.
Special emphasis was also placed on making sure that members were given opportunities to develop themselves and that every Berbician who deserves to be honoured was recognized accordingly.
The release further elaborated that Ms. Harper and Ansa McAl has over the years been one of their major sponsors and they are confident that this rewarding relationship would continue in the future as both organisations are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of youths.
The company is the sole sponsor of the Ansa McAl Award of Excellence, Ansa McAl 5/5 Cricket tournament, Ansa McAl Tribute to Head Teachers and also supports the RHTY&SC Annual Awards Ceremony, Annual Youth Review Magazine, Monthly Television Programmes, Annual Cricket Academy, Educational Summer Camp and Christmas Charity Programme among
others.
“The RHTY&SC would like to wish Ms. Harper continued success in her professional career at Ansa McAl, a company she has transformed in Guyana by her visionary and dynamic leadership and we look forward to still have her valued support, counsel and guidance as we strive to remain as Guyana’s leading youth and sports organization.”
