Dear Editor,
City Hall and Central Government will soon make part of the Le Repentir Cemetery a garbage dumpsite again.
On behalf of Team Benschop, we are publicly registering our dissatisfaction, and will mount an aggressive campaign to end this environmental genocide against residents in the surrounding areas.
Once given the opportunity to manage our capital city (as your next Mayor) in the upcoming Local Government Elections, my team and I will suspend the dumping of garbage in the cemetery with immediate effect.
Team Benschop will also launch a massive health program in all affected areas in order to determine the magnitude of the damage done to residents (especially children) since 2004 to 2010 when City Hall entered into an agreement with garbage contractors to use the cemetery as a dumpsite.
Mark Benschop
