Sans Souci Jaguars and Maria’s Pleasure/ Zeelandia will clash in what is expected to be an exciting final of the Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition today at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success.
Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure will be led by exciting all-rounder Ricardo Adams, while fast bowler Siddiq Mohamed will spearhead the Jaguars hunt.
Experienced middle order batsman Navishaul Pooran, national U17 wicketkeeper batsman Ryan Adams, pacer Bernard Lewis, opener Ajay Ghansam and off-spinner Kennard Lewis are expected to lend valuable support to Ricardo Adams. SS Jaguars batting will be centered on Zameer Zaman, Rashaad Rasheed and Safraz Mohamed while Nokta Moses, Beesham Moses and Siddiq Mohamed will lead the bowling attack.
Both teams recorded victories in their respective semi final games played on Sunday last. Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure overcame Noitgedacht SC by 51 runs. Batting first, Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure managed 163-5 with Ryan Adams scoring 62. Noitgedacht responded with 112. Neil Ramalho got 20.
SS Jaguars beat Good Success by 12 runs. SS Jaguars posted 140, taking first strike. Zameer Zaman made 48 and Kevon Hendricks 32. Good Success responded with 132. Nazeer Mohamed scored 35; Siddiq Mohamed took 2-23.
