Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure and Sans Souci Jaguars have secured their places in the final of the Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition after recording victories in their respective semi final games played recently in Wakenaam.
Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure defeated Noitgedacht Sports Club by 51 runs at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Batting first, Zeelandia/Maria’s Pleasure posted 163-5. Ryan Adams struck 63, while Navishaul Pooran got 22 and Ajay Ghansam 15. Neil Ramalho and E. Chung took two wickets each.
Noitgedacht SC were sent packing for 112 in 16 overs in reply. Ramalho made 28; Pooran, Ricardo Adams and Bernard Lewis claimed two wickets apiece.
SS Jaguars overcame Good Success by 20 runs at the said venue. SS Jaguars took first strike and managed 140 all out in 19 overs. Zameer Zaman cracked 48, Nokta Moses 33, Safraz Mohamed 23 and Rashaad Rasheed 18. Imran Khan snared 3-23, Wazir Khan 2-25, Nazeer Mohamed 2-26 and Vickram Ramnarine 2-29. Good Success responded with 120 all out in 19.4 overs. Imran Khan hit 43 and Ramnarine 34. Nokta Moses claimed 3-24, Beesham Moses 2-25 and Siddique Mohamed 2-26.
The final will be played on Sunday at the said venue.
