Dear Editor,
We the residents living in Vreed en Hoop would like to know who issues license to sell alcohol beverage and what are the conditions for approval. There is a residential property at lot 118 South New Road Vreed en Hoop that operates a grocery stall on the roadside and sells alcoholic beverage. This stall is patron to many vehicle owners that imbibe in alcohol consumption until the early in the mornings and to make matters worse they would blast music from their vehicles much to the annoyance of the neighbourhood. The neighborhood has found this practice to be very disturbing as the children need to study and the elderly needs to rest. This resident is friends of the Police at the Vreed en Hoop Police Station so there is no solution by making a report to the station. Could the relevant authorities address our concern and we do look forward to a peaceful festive season.
