Dear Editor,
This is a serious matter. In June 2015, I gave my bag to the bay keeper at the National Hardware Store on Water Street, Georgetown. When I collected the bag and went home two skirts were missing. I made a report to the police station and the bag bay keeper was told to come to the station to give a statement. However, one of the guards told the bag bay keeper not to go to the station to gave the statement. Now they have things in place, camera etc., so that people would not steal their things. But there is no protection for consumers’ bags when they their things in the bag bay.
For years National Hardware has been running their business without a camera in the bag bay. After this incident a camera was placed there to reflect into the bag bay.So to all consumers, be careful when shopping. Make note of everything you buy, lock your bags with a pad lock before you gave your bag to the bag bay keeper.
