Building Society Second Division 40-Over Cricket Competition in Berbice to earn the right to advance to the last 16 play-offs of the competition.
In that match their offspinner Brandon Balkissoon firstly took 5 for 23 from 7-Overs to help bowl out Cotton Tree for 142 in 30.3 Overs and then opening batsman Rajbance Hemraj hit 52 (7 fours) to steer them to an easy 6-wicket victory.
Also advancing to the play-offs were D’Edward which team defeated Bath by 4 wickets to end up as winners of Zone B. Bath did well to rattle up 205 in their 35-Overs thanks mainly to Jailall Bridglall who hit 63 (8 fours) and Satesh Latchman 55 (3 fours and 1 six). Offspinner Lakeraj Sookra took 6 for 23 from 5-Overs for D’Edward.
D’Edward was however up to the challenge and reached 206 for 6 in 26.3 Overs. Quacy McPherson hit 94 (9 fours and 2 sixes) to help Achievers to a 61-run victory over Golden Elparabel, while Gladwin Johnson firstly scored 58 and then took 4 for 22 from 6-Overs in Monedderlust’s 67-run win Over No. 3.
