The police in subdivision No 2, Corentyne, (Borlam to Molson Creek), of the B Division of the Guyana Police Force brought smiles to the faces of hundreds of children within the subdivision his past week.
The annual children party was held at the Whim Police Station compound, the headquarters of the subdivision.
Santa Claus and some of his helpers were in attendance. They had a lovely time with the kids. The children were feted to a sumptuous meal and received gifts. They also participated in a number of games.
The activity which is part of a series organized by the police in the Division was coordinated by Officer in Charge of the Sub division, Deputy Superintendent Lyndon Isles. Isles was assisted by Inspectors Williams of the Traffic Department, Dexter Torrington of the CID and Godfrey Playter of General Duties. Woman Sergeant Althea Solomon was instrumental to the operation and fete.
There were dancing competitions for both boys and girls.
