The playoffs of the Orin Joseph Memorial dominoes competition will commence at 16:00hrs tomorrow at
Faye Joseph residence, Gauling Place, South Ruimveldt. The final will be contested on Sunday night at the said venue; the winning team receives a trophy and $200,000, runner up a trophy and $100,000 and third place a trophy and $75,000.
Teams that have qualified are Phantom, Scramblers, TNT, Saddam, Sparton, C Point, Police, Turning Point, Mix Up, Providence, Determine, Frankies, Brothers, Dream Team, Gangster, Rage, F and H, Thunder, Specialist, KTS, Rugged, Beacons, Impressors, Transports SC, Saddest and All Seasons Racing Service.
The competition is being sponsored by President of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GDA) Faye Joseph in memory of her late husband and former President of the GDA Orin Joseph.
Meanwhile, Whitie Sports bar of Best Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara will be hosting a 20/20 competition tonight starting at 19:00hrs. Entrance fee is $10,000. For more information teams can contact Mark Wiltshire on 665-5855.
