2015 New Building Society Second Division 40-Over Cricket Competition in Berbice
Chesney beat Kendall’s Union B to emerge as winners of Zone I of the 2015 New Building Society Second
Division Cricket Competition in Berbice and therefore earning the right to advance to the last 16 play-offs of the Competition.
Leading them to victory were Youardan Gurdayal who slammed 104 (8 fours and 2 sixes) and former Guyana T20 batting sensation Imran Khan 78 (2 fours and 1 six), the two of them featuring in a 171 run 2nd wicket partnership which was mainly responsible for Chesney amassing 247 for 6 in 30-Overs. Kendall’s Union B could only respond with 151 for 7 in 30-Overs with Richard Dhuman hitting 69 (2 fours and 2 sixes).
Bath offspinner Satesh Latchman took 5 for 31 from 6.1 Overs to help bowl out Monedderlust of No. 5 for 129. Bath however, still fell short in their response due to Monedderlust medium pacer Royden Peters picking up 5 for 5 from 5-Overs to bowl them out for 103.
Narine Badrinarine scored 60 (4 fours and 2 sixes) to help No. 48 Challengers reach 135 for 5 in 25-Overs against No. 64 Fighting Marines. Then his team-mate, legspinner Budhram Samaroo took 5 for 19 from 5-Overs to see the Marines bowled out for 97 in 21-Overs.
Also scoring half century were Saif Latchana of Fyrish Road and Darshan Chalitar of Crabwood Creek Rising.

At No. 5, Monedderlust beat Bath by 26 runs.
Monedderlust 129 in 22.1 Overs with Erwin Johnson 34, Gladwyn Johnson 28. Satesh Latchman 5 for 31 and Makesh Persaud 3 for 12. Bath 103 in 28-Overs with Akash Ramnarine 31. Royden Peters 5 for 5, Dharamdeo Misir 2 for 9 and Colvis Sam 2 for 29.
At No. 73, No. 48 Challengers beat No. 64 Fighting Marines by 38 runs.
No. 48 Challengers 135 for 5 in 25-Overs with Narine Badrinarine 60. Vadanand Sugrim 2 for 14, Ramesh Joseph 2 for 15, Kumar Chand 2 for 21 and Jason Itwaru 2 for 26. No. 64 Fighting Marines 97 in 21-Overs with Budhram Samaroo 5 for 19.
At Kilcoy, Fyrish Road beat Chesney Riders by 4 wickets.
Chesney Riders 132 in 21-Overs with Nazrudin Bux 36. 72 year old Zamin Hamid 3 for 29, Saif Latchana 2 for 10, Asif Gajnabi 2 for 24 and Hassan Hussain 2 for 27. Fyrish Road 135 for 6 in 29-Overs with Saif Latchana 63, Rakesh Rajnauth 2 for 10 and Isaac Kamaludin 2 for 25.
At No. 71, Crabwood Creek Rising beat No. 71 by 4 wickets.
No. 71 scored 149 in 30-Overs with Shabir Khan 35. Darshan Chalitar 2 for 12, Satesh Baldeo 2 for 25 and Divendra Chandradat 2 for 37. Crabwood Creek Rising 152 for 6 in 23-Overs with Darshan Chalitar 54 and Errington Seergobin 43 N.O.
At Bath, Blairmont Community Centre A beat Bath Spartans by 13 runs.
