Long time friend and supporter of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, Jennifer Cipriani on Friday last became the fourth recipient of the Club’s top award, the Dolphin
Award of Excellence.
The Award was presented to Cipriani for her support of the club’s numerous activities over the years, her status as a positive role model and her contributions to the development of youths and sports in Guyana.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster described Ms Cipriani as a true friend of his organization while stating that she is one of the finest individuals he has had the privilege of working along with over the years.
Foster informed that Ms Cipriani’s relationship with the club commenced when she served as Marketing Director at Western Union and has continued in her position as Marketing Executive at the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Gratitude was extended to Ms Cipriani for her support of the club over the years and for the role she has played in assisting to transform the lives of countless youths, the elderly and less fortunate. The club has been humbled by her dedication towards making a positive difference and Foster stated that they {club} would continue to be a role model to every youth and sport organisation in Guyana as it undertakes over 200 programmes/activities under a wide range of sub-headings, annually.
A proud Ms Cipriani stated that she was very humbled to receive such a prestigious award from a dynamic organisation whose activities are unmatched in Guyana. She noted that her relationship with the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club was a decade old and she was always amazed at the large amount of activities they successfully undertake every year.
Cipriani thanked the Management and members of the club for honouring her while expressing confidence that the relationship would continue in the future. The Dolphin Award of Excellence is the highest and most prestigious of eight awards that the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club.
Awardees are selected by a special committee headed by Club Secretary Hilbert Foster. A maximum of 25 (twenty five) individuals would receive the award based on their support to the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, status as a role model and efforts to make positive difference in the lives of youths, the elderly and less fortunate.
The first three recipients were Robert Selman of the Guyana Beverage Company, Ravi Mangar of Gizmos & Gadgets and President David Granger. A number of outstanding Guyanese would shortly be honoured with the award and they include Rajiv Ganga of Bakewell, Beverley Harper of Ansa McAl, June Mendes of Farfan & Mendes, Avia Lindie of Metro Office Supplies and Sharda Chand of Demerara Distillers Limited.
